Who we are
Danish Hernia Database is a clinical database, established for the improvement of the treatments of inguinal and ventral hernia repair in Denmark. The Database collects data on patients with hernias older than 18 years at time of surgery.
The database is funded by the Danish Regions funds for clinical databases.
Data is provided by operating surgeons entering perioperative information regarding the surgery of ventral og inguinal hernia repairs.
If you are a patient with a hernia, you should contact your own doctor. The Danish Hernia Database does not supply advice or consultations to individuals.
